Wool School

I've tried searching threads but I can't come up with an answer so hopefully someone will be kind and help me!

I have a mei tai up FS on the babywearer formus and a mama has offered to trade for some knit wool covers. The problem is that I'm sooo new to CD I have no idea how to use them!? I'm down with the idea that it's a cover so something must go underneath it...a prefold?? What makes mamas love their wool?

Also, how would I know if I'm getting a fair deal? I have the carrier listed for $50. Should I ask for a picture of her work?

Thanks so much!

Before you agree I would ask to see her work!!! Also are they longies shorties or soakers? WOuld she be making them or odes she already have the wool covers? That all depends on if its a fair deal! With wool you would need to buy wool wash and lanolin. let me know if you have any specific questions!

I use wool over fitteds (GMs, PWs, SWBs). You can use it over prefolds, too.

You definitely need to see her work, ask what kind of wool she uses (BFL, PW, BBR, etc.). If it's a good wool and they're made nicely, $50 is reasonable for a pair of longies.
