Re: Blue theme

What are you using it for? Snack or craft or just to demonstrate

Re: Blue theme

4 days of school next week is bue theme. so everything is blue!

I need 4 stories. I'm thinking Blueberries for Sal, The Little Blue Truck

I need 3 different activities each day: one for me, my aid, and the parent helper

The first day we will: make blue playdough, work on their blue page (scavenger hunt), need an "art" project

the second day is zero the hero day (10th day of school): they'll be doing their Z page, need two more ideas

third and forth day are ???

Re: Blue theme

What if you do like an under the sea day? Since the ocean is blue....

Blue is tough since it doesnt come naturally in nature very much. Especially food. There is a science experiment that can make red cabbage water turn blue...to kids that young itd be more like a magic trick I guess.

Re: Blue theme

See if you can get a copy of Blucy: The Blue Cat by Julia Dweck. There is an Eric Carle book about a blue horse, as well, but I don't know if it goes through all the colors or if it's about just blue.

As for activities, they could do a mosaic out of different shades of blue paper, or use different shades of blue buttons.

Learn about different birds that are blue -- there are quite a few of them.

Re: Blue theme

Does it have to be only blue? If you could incorporate other colors, you could do a game that has them matching colors they've already focused on.

Maybe tissue paper flowers or butterflies? Or have them color coffee filters, spray them with water, and once they've dried turn them into butterflies or flowers?

Re: Blue theme

You can do a blue bird day and create a blue bird with blue feathers.
