I started adding in up, but stopped once I hit $1000. I thought it best not to go any further.

I am also a SAHM. I buy dipes instead of stuff for myself also.

Re: $ How much is your stash $

I'm at just alittle bit past $300 right now, and I think we'll go up to between $500 and $600 total.
There are some "splurge" diapers I've been getting, and also some 'staples' (like BG!3.0, ie. easy for DH) that I have been/am buying new.
But otherwise everythign I;ve got so far has been a really good deal.
And a few packages just kinda fell into my lap.

My DH doesn;t get the momma guilt either. I hemmedand hawed last niht over getting myself some maternity clothes for church (which I don;t have and really need) I t was the biggest struggle to go ahead and make the purchase. And I feel guilty about it today!
Meanwhilee I've spent $80 this week in Minkee alone.

My DH says I'm nuts.

Re: $ How much is your stash $

Well, I'm in the $1500-2000 range (currently around $1700), but that is the total for 2 kids (1 boy, 1 girl, so I sold boyish & re-bought girly) through PT'ing and then I had to re-buy for this new one coming (I sold all my nb/small dipes, because we thought we were done - oops!).

Re: $ How much is your stash $

I don't want to encourage you to spend more than you are comfortable with:

that said, sposies cost about $500 per child per year as a bare minimun, get them on sale and stocking up.

So if you spend $1000, you are about right, I figure. ANd you will end up selling them for probably about 50% without postage.

I also figure that waste costs about the same as laundry care. I will take a whole year to use a $10 box of detergent. I don't use the dryer.

I have a lot of fun with it and I don't buy much else.

I so wish they had a mall where you could go that was just for diapers. One store for wool, one for pul, one for fleece, one for fitteds - you get the idea. A girl can dream right?

Cany you imagine going to a store full of GMs or squishy preflats?
