Where do you get

pictures for theme posters.

I don't have a stash of magazines but want ds to be 100% involved in creating posters. Like choosing/cuting out etc... I don't want to just look them up online kwim? Any ideas on where to get things for this sort of project?

Look on free cycle for magazines or ask friends and family to keep them for you for school. you can also take the pics your self!

never thought to ask on freecycle. Unfortunately DF family, not so supportive. Dad doesn't get any magazines and mom lives 2k miles away I'll try freecycle though and we may have to jsut print them out.

What about Junk mail? I don't know if it will be big enough for you, bt if you vet those Valpak coupons, or store sales, they usually have a great selection of "misc" images.

Also look for free publications/newsletters in restaraunts, ped/doc offices, stuff like that.

Local libraries keep back issues of magazines for only so long - ours keeps them for 3 years. So every year, they throw out / recycle TONS of 4-year-old magazines with GREAT pictures!

Just another benefit to making your local librarian your lifelong friend . . .
