I'm so sorry for that family! I will never understand things like this. They make me feel sick.

OMG that's awful. I too, am grateful to be able to be home w/ my son every day. I have only left him twice with anyone besides his father- once with his grandmother while we went to retrieve our stolen dog and once with his aunt while I went for a fourwheeler ride. I worried about him the entire time and I *KNEW* that he was being well cared for. I would have had some words for that woman if I saw that video. I cannot fathom why some people just don't stay away from kids. You don't like them, don't go near them. It's pretty d*mn simple. I feel so bad for that family.

Re: Nanny cam saves baby

People like this ANGER me so much!

I am a nanny, and this woman makes it so hard for parents to trust me. I would NEVER, EVER harm a child (or anyone else) in those ways or any other ways.

Granted, it is also stories like this that helped me make my decision that my children will NEVER be left in the care of a nanny or at a daycare. If we have to be poor, I would rather, than have something like this happen.

Poor baby.

Re: Nanny cam saves baby

The mom didn't goto the bond hearing because she was afraid she'd end up in jail for what she would do to the woman if she saw her again. I would be the same way if it were my child who was treated like that.

All4ella--I was thinking the same thing. An IRL friend has a nanny to watch her 2 DDs. The woman is so nice and so caring and so sweet. And then I read this story, and I was like, what if my friend's DDs are being abused and we don't even know it?! It does make you question good people. Which is unfair for the most part. But I would rather end up questioning good people and find they are doing a great job than to just assume that they are and end up being wrong. If this mom hadn't gotten the nanny cam and just went on her assumption that the nanny was doing a great job, Caroline would have probably ended up brain dead from shaken baby syndrome.
