Re: Nanny cam saves baby

Saw part of the video and heard the story this morning on CNN.

It was totally sickening to see that and it had me in tears.

Ugh...that was horrible to watch. That poor baby is so lucky not to have brain damage. I can't imagine being the mom or dad and seeing that done to my baby. I am so glad I am fortunate enough to stay home.

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/cri...t.on.nanny.cnn

CNN picked it up this morning. Though they show Caroline being shaken over and over with their replay of the same incident, it is a bit easier to watch because there is no sound so you can't hear her crying. The unceasing crying in the first video really just breaks your heart.

I know eventually they are going to release the rest of the video, but I'm not sure I am going to be able to watch that one.

Re: Nanny cam saves baby

I just wanted to say, as a nanny for a wonderful family, please, please, please get a nanny cam. I'd have absolutely no problem with the family putting in a cam, whether I knew about it or not. Most good honest nannies I know would not care either (except cams in the bathroom. Most of us have a problem with that....) While criminal background checks are good, they really only tell you if a nanny has been CAUGHT abusing a child before, not whether they actually have.

If I ever decide to have a nanny, I would not hesitate to put a nanny cam in my home.

Oh my I started to watch it and couldnt. That is so disturbing. If that was my child Id kill the nanny. I cant believe that anyone could do that its soo very disturbing and sad. I used to be a nanny and I am totally for nanny cams. Some of the nannys Ive met you wonder why they are doing it (they just dont seem to have that love for kiddos) This breaks my heart.

I saw this story on CNN, and it made me sick to my stomach. I would have to be physically restrained from attacking this woman if it was my child.

That just makes me sick. Really makes you think twice about whom you can and cannot trust. How awful.
