I'm surprised no one else has had anything to say! Do you live in the North? I wonder if its a regional problem... We even updated our kitchen with new cabinets and moved it to the other side of the house last year! I have pretty much all of my food in plastic containers with screw on lids and still have them! Urgh!

Re: Darn it!!!! Meal moths!!
Have you wiped every surface in your kitchen with cleaner? Even a tiny bit of spilled flour can feed the larvae. Also everything , I mean everything (cereal, animal feed, crackers, any type of seeds) need to be put in plastic or glass food containers or the moths will still come. They can get into your kitchen from the outside so beware.
They are most likely indian meal moths if they fly in a zig-zag pattern. Other moths don't fly zig-zaggy like that. If sealing all of your food doesn't get rid of them after a couple of months, then you may need to hire a Pest Management Professional. From what it sounds like though, you may have a source of them from somewhere. I know when my DD had pet birds, the IMM would come in the birdseed and grow in the cages in a matter of days. Once the birds were gone, the moths left too. Good Luck to you mama!

Re: Darn it!!!! Meal moths!!
I HATE THESE LITTEL BASTARTS!!they were in this house when we moved in 6 months ago and i can not seem to kill them all. I am constantly smooshing them. SO much to the point it gets entertaining. I jump up and smack them like a dang pro tennis player and have you notices.. they turn to like DUST when they get smooshed. haha they dont gut juices like most bugs. HAHA but yeah. im a NEAT FREAK and i still have the lil guys. No matter how much i clean and clean and cleach and put things in containers the lil sh*ts come and harass me some more!
I HATE THEM.. and its sucky too cause sometimes i find them in other parts of the house... they like to go where they please. UGH ewe ewe ewe

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DN meal moths are by far different than weevles meal moths i dont think are quite as bad. id rather a moth flying around than a maggoty looking thing in my food. BOTH are NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Darn it!!!! Meal moths!!
These are quite different! A meal moth is actually well, a moth in the order Lepidoptera. A weevil is actually a beetle in the order Coleoptera.
Both of the larvae stage eats pantry foods.
