Diaper Swappers

Typing quickly, this is Zoes birth story.
I had a bunch of things to do yesterday, we had errands to run, bills to pay, and were going out to supper for my 25th birthday, or so i thought. I left the house at 11:15 am. Mike, Kyra and i walked downtown, and as soon as we got down town, I felt a gush of fluid. My pants were soaked! I freaked a bit, thinking i must have peed myself...thinking that there was such a small percentage of women who's water breaks like that...but I was sure i hadn't peed myself, i hadn't had any urge to pee....so we walked back home, and i paged the midwife. I had only been having sporadic contractions, so she said it could be a while. Mike started getting things ready for the pool. A couple of friends showed up, we ordered pizza which we at on the patio, then Mike walked into the living room and saw that the pool had an air leak...and had collapsed on the living room floor, flooding the house. NOT GOOD. There went the water birth. My friends' comments were both asking whether we were going to the hospital, NO WAY! We had prepared the bed in case for some reason birth was to quick for the pool, or what not, and it just changed the plans a bit. I paged midwife again at about 3:00pm, when i had had 3 contractions 5 min apart(was suposed to wait till i had an hours worth at 5 minutes apart) She arrived a few minutes later, checked me out and i was at 6 cm and stretchy. I walked a bit, bounced on the ball, gt in the tub for about a minute, sat on the toilet, pretty much did whatever until about 4:00 when I got in bed. As the midwives were getting their things together, i lay n my side, mike pressing on my back when I asked him to. Finally I said to the midwives I was feeling lots of pressure, and my primary looks and said she saw the head! A few more good pushes and Zoe was born. She was born just like her sister, with her hands up holding her face! What are the odds of that happening? She was and is perfect, except for being a touch cold and needing to be bundled and snuggled up next to me. She was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches long, and was born at 4:28 pm on August 31(formerly my 25th birthday). She has a little bit of dark hair, and is beautiful(not that I am biased or anything :wink: ) Less the an hour and a half of active labour, and no stiches or anything for mom, things went great, other the the aborted water birth attempt.
