Saw this in the forum sticky:

I'm not sure if I qualify to join.... I lost my DD after 32 weeks of pregnancy, and I'm pretty sure my last three attempts were mmc's - I didn't get a BFP with any of them, but I was late, had lots of pregnancy symptoms, and when AF came she was REALLY brutal. So I've been at this for more than a year, although a chunk of that was a pregnancy that didn't stick.

My aucpuncturist says I have a cold uterus - which sounds like it can be dealt with, but confirms my suspicions on the mmc's. She wants me to wait three cycles before we try again.

I certainly don't want to intrude - but it would be nice to hang with ladies who feel like they're in an uphill battle as well.

imo, you are welcome here i really do think you were pregnant, fwiw i don't remember if you are charting, but 18 temps above coverline is pregnancy, according to TCOYF and my acupuncturist, and i know you were 20-something.


also, i think i read "cold uterus" is about low progesterone... have you thought about taking an OTC supplement? my acupuncturist had me on chaste tree berries to up my progesterone, before that i was using a progesterone cream (i found it at my local Whole Foods)

Thanks - that means a lot.

I quit charting a couple weeks ago when I got the news about Grandma - it was just one more stress on top of a lot of other stuess, and it was the one I could do something about.

My acupuncture lady has me on some Chinese herbal formulas... I should ask about the chaste tree berries. It might already be covered with something similar in what I'm taking... but then again, it might not!

If you want to join JTC (Journey to Conception) that's fine. I think that the intention of the sticky is to discourage folks who have been trying for 3 months or so, KWIM?

understandable about the charting! what herbs are you on? just curious i'm on Xiao Yao Wan (have been for many months), supposed to help regulate my cycles, and i was on something (can't remember the name) during my last pre-o time, now i just got a new one to start taking as soon as AF has left the building. gotta go look up the name. which reminds me, i gotta go take it!

You are both strong women-- I took the Chinese herbs with DD, but this time around, I can't seem to make myself drink the awful teas-- even honey didn't help! The accupuncture, however, is magic.

She uses the Golden Flower Chinese Herbs formulas... currently she's got me on "Free & Easy Wanderer Plus" (Jia Wei Xiao Yao San) but was on "Women's Precious Formula" (don't have the bottle handy so I can't look up the official name) last time. Sounds like she's going to put me on one thing for days 1-14, and something else for the rest of the cycle. She wants to get me on a 28 day cycle. We'll see how that turns out - I don't think I've had one of those once in the almost 20 years I've been cycling!

i really hope that is true for me! i've done it about 4 months total over a longer period of time, had to take a 2 month break in there. i did have my earliest o ever while doing it, but then had a typically crappy LP.

yup, i'm on the free and easy wanderer too... that's the Xiao Yao Wan (i guess there are two different names for it). and i hear ya on the 28 day cycle!! my closest to that was a 26 day cycle, which was o'ing at CD 16 (while doing acu, which was practically a miracle!), followed by a crappy 10 day LP my cycles are most typically 32-34 days. i usually o about a week or more "later" than the average day 14.

Oh how frustrating! Makes mine seem like a cakewalk. And yeah, my cycles are usually 32 days (or more...) but it looks like I have a pretty consistent 14-day LP. I'm going to keep using my spit microscope and temping just to know when I ovulate... even though we're not trying. I figure if nothing else, I'll know when to expect AF!
