Toy and Activity Suggestions needed

My DD is 14 months. She's cognitively fine - on target. However, she has very little gross motor skills due to a metabolic disorder. She can roll over and she can sit with support. She can't crawl or walk yet.

It seems that she's getting bored with her current selection of toys and activities - and gets more frustrated by the day. My issue is that most things for a 14 month old include "push toys" or some other toy that requires her to do things that she can't do yet. Any suggestions? She has most Haba and Selecta wooden toys right now. Oh, and the smaller the toy the better as her hands are tiny. She's 16 lbs at 14 months.

I just put some brainy baby DVDs on hold at the library. Her case manager and EI Educator said that she would be okay to watch these for up to 30 mins a day. I picked up some crayons for her to "color" with while sitting on my lap.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Valerie

Did you try Selecta Battino (pounding toy) or the Djeco Chicken pounding toy??

Ring stacker from Haba???

My kiddos love those Usborne Touchy-Feely books--"That's not my Princess..." etc.
