Re: new or exclusively fsot?

I prefer to buy new, but will buy used for something in new/like new condition and have started to only buy from certain people due to some bad deals I have been involved in as a buyer and have heard about from others.

Re: new or exclusively fsot?

I do both depending on what I'm looking for and what I can find. I needed 3 emergency dipes for the car so I got some that were cheap but usable. I got 3 used BG for the diaperbag since they don't get used as much. Since we use the FBs everyday, they are new.

Most of my stash was used. I started making my own, that was the first new I had LOL! I now have a mixture, but I could never afford those $20.00 new diapers for all my diapers.

Re: new or exclusively fsot?

I started out buying used stuff when I first started my stash, which sometimes worked out to be a good deal if dipes were in good condition. But then after buying a bunch of other stuff, I found a lot of times that peoples idea of what EUC is can vary ALOT and I was sometimes disappointed with the condition the dipes were in when I got them. Plus, I have also been burned on FSOT once.

So now, I basically have decided that it's work the few extra bucks to buy new, and try to catch any sales whenever I can. I still do buy from FSOT if the dipes are LN/EUC from people I have bought from before, or if it's something hard to get.

Re: new or exclusively fsot?

ohh...I do both, sometimes I buy things new that I never use ....so I feel like I have wasted money...like my peewells & snap-ez both of which fit great in smalls and did not fit at all in meds...luckily they have great resale value...so most often I feel like I get the best deals used...but I would still say I'm pretty 50/50

Almost all of our diapers are used. I can't see paying the prices people ask for brand new cute diapers.

Re: new or exclusively fsot?

I started with FB, all new, when we started cd-ing about 8 months ago. However, in the last few months that I've started looking into other options, I've been buying here and on eBay to find what I like, then I'll probably buy some new. Like a pp said, usually when the good cute diapers (esp. size L) are here, they're usually gone pretty fast!

Re: new or exclusively fsot?

I have one new diaper on the way, and it's a tester. Everything else I've bought has been either used or seconds (Cotton Babies had a sale on seconds earlier in August so I took advantage of it). I think my main impetus to try CD'ing was to save money. My DH would be far less accepting if I was spending $20.00 a pop on each and every diaper (and we just can't afford it). I'd like to try some new stuff eventually, though.

My whole pocket stash as of right now are used. Most from FSOT. The only new dipes I owned were ones I made myself.
