My thoughts exactly! My heart aches for him and his loved ones at this time.
I was devastated to hear of his passing. I cant believe the responses of some of the women here. I'm ashamed....

This is very sad for his family. I can't imagine my children losing their daddy let alone me losing my best friend

To the OP yes they did use cloth diapers as a matter of fact fuzzi bunz never made khaki fb but did as a special run for him. I remember a couple of years ago they were selling the left overs on eBay.

Re: Im in shock (death post-a lil on topic)

I just wanted to clairify that i don't think he 'got what was coming' or 'deserved' what he got. But I just can't understand how people say that they are 'shocked' or it was 'unexpected'...

The man did extremely dangerous things on a regular basis, regardless of the reason or what percausions he took, it was a lifesyle that could (and did) kill him.

I am sure he understood the risk, as did his wife and as did we...

At least he lived his life doing what he (clearly) loved doing.. it was a compermise he made to live that lifestyle vs. a safer one where he didn't get to learn and educate us about various animals.....

I really hope that you all don't think I am super insensitive.. I don't think I am wording this right...

i think most of us are shocked because of the WAY it happened...noone expected him to die of a string ray sting in the heart. A snake bite, a croc attack, But I know myself I never thought he would die in such a way, while filming a documentary.

I see...

I don't know much about sting rays or anything like that..

sounds like it was kind of a fluke

You are saying you put military in the same catagory as entertainers? We'll have to agree to disagree because I don't see that at all. I have friends in the military and I feel confident in saying they would disagree as well.

i feel really sad for steve and his family, my heart is just breaking over this tragedy

to the pp, what the other mama is saying is that he is an educater first~~ NOT an entertainer risking his life for nothing, just as the military risks their lives doing there job as well..
steve irwin is an awesome man and person and i don't think his love for his job should be made out to be a" well thats what he gets' sort of thing, he was a great person and GREAT educater to those that actually watched and followed his lessons
