Because of what my DD went through, we thought she needed a strong name, which is one reason we chose a typical boy name. I'm sure that probably makes no sense to some people, but it made sense to me. LOL Anyways, we call her Charlie but her real name is Charlene, so she can go by that later if she wants.

I'm thinking something like Ryann (spelling makes it look more girly I think) or Ashton.

My DD is named "Arden" which is Latin for "Ball of Fire" (loosley translated). And she is, too! Uncommon, but easy to pronounce!

I LOVE Ruby! For some reason, I also thought of Calista when I read your first post, it's just what popped up. But I think I like Ruby better!

However Annalisse is synonymous in our house with feisty/trouble/running away giggling/trouble etc.

Fiana (feana) It's an Irish name and was a female who lead a warrior clan in Ireland.

Not much help, but I have to third/fourth the Scarlett suggestion! That's the first name that came to mind when I saw the title.

Hmmm. I know when I was pregnant I really liked the name Alexya Star. Not real common... and has some flavor.

I named my little fighter (born at 34 weeks) Avalon Sage.. she's 15 months now and I couldnt imagine a more fitting name for her. It seems like such a strong name IMO.

What a neat thread... my DD's name is Scarlett, so I'll have to vote for that one too. When people asked what the baby's name was going to be and I'd say Scarlett, we heard lots of "Watch out, that's a fiesty name, you might get what you're asking for!" Well, she is...but she's almost 2, so I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it (For now!)!

I also love Piper!
