What CD work for night with heavy wetters?

We've been cloth diapering since May of this year and we are loving it! But in order to keep my boy's clothes from getting wet we have to double-up on the DSQ pre-folds and use a Lana Wool cover. This keeps him dry but the problem is it is very bulky and he cries everytime we put it on him. He also tries pushing the diaper off everytime while he is crying. He does not do this normally with his CD, just at nighttime. So we are wondering if the bulk of it is bothering him or squishing him (if you know what I mean ). So we thought of using disposables but he leaks right through those and wakes up soaking wet. The other factor is we don't have a dryer so the dipes are kind of course and stiff from being line-dried. Does anyone have any ideas for a softer, absorbent nighttime dipe?

What about a fleece pocket with a Leo Baby Mighty Night insert? The fleece pockets are still soft if line dried.

I use a homemade PF made from 2 layers terry cloth and one layer flannel- for softness and then I tri-fold it in a PUL (not print PUL) cover. It works wonders and is fairly thin!

So, when tri-folded, that makes 6 layers terrycloth and 3 layers flannel.

I make super absorbant fitteds. DS wets the Nile every evening. I had to figure out something that wasn't so bulky. We do a fitted with 2 layers of terry sandwiched b/n 2 layers of flannel and occasionally put in an extra soaker. I have had several mama's on here tell me that this is their new favorite nite time diaper. If you are crafty you may want to try that or I can make one for ya.

LittleMs Nighter Dider are the best for ds that is 16months and a heavy wetter
than it would have to be a premium prefold w/ infant or preemie prefold trifolded with a fleece cover

I would first suggest a fleece-lined pocket. You could stuff this with the prefolds you already have to save $.
If you prefer a fitted, Very Baby Simply Nights are fleece-lined and trimmer than many. I also like Sugar Plum Baby Night diapers. Having hemp in the soaker really allows you to cut the bulk.

My DD is a HEAVY wetter and I just found a combo that has worked like a dream! We're using a hemp PF (I made mine, but you can get cheap seconds at www.babycottonbottoms.com) with a MF towel laid in. I newspaper fold the two and for the first time ever part of her diaper was actually dry this AM!

Re: What CD work for night with heavy wetters?

My 18 mo is s super soaker and would soak through his FB and Roos. I used to try 2 or even 3 MOE inserts and he would still wet through. We have been having great luck with PWs and a bummis cover. I don't even have to use a seperate doubler or soaker. Its not bulky and he is dry in the mornings.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I am excited to discuss the options with my hubby and find a solution that makes my little boy HAPPY and DRY!
