Re: Tell me something cute that your DC mispronounces

Ande uses Lip BLAM on her chapped lips.
Sophie wears a Babing Poot to swim and wont drink OJ with PLURP in it.

I tried to get dh to encourage the mispronunciations - man, did I spell that right? - I think they are so cute. I can hardly wait for Joe to talk....

When DS was younger, he had trouble pronouncing his step-mommy's name correctly. "Stephanie" came out "Eftie." He's almost 6 now and still calls her this even though he can say her name right. I think it's sweet.
Oh, and Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader fight with "light saVers" instead of light sabers. He's already ahead of me as I thought they were "life savers" when I was his age.

Re: Tell me something cute that your DC mispronounces

My 14 (almost 15) month old doesn't say anything understandable yet... sometimes it sounds like she is saying, "Hi", or "Hi dere" like, "Hi there" and "dat" for dad... she still doesn't say mama.... at least not in reference to me.... when I tell her a cow says "moo", she'll say mmmm. she makes a lot of babbling sounds like she's "talking" When I ask her questions, she just nods her head, but it doesn't always mean that she agrees with me... is this normal? or should she be saying more things we recognize by now?

All the kids in my family had a different lisp as a kid. The Kid seems to have a problem with the letter r. He either doesn't say it if it's in the middle of the word, or he will change it to a "w". The Kid says packpack; blueberries are booboobewies, rocketship is wocketsheep; lellow, wukin' (working), milk in spanish is leche he says chele. oh boy is boyoboyo, kwayons for crayons

My daughter calls sandwiches "sounditches." She's 5 and it's the only thing she still says incorrectly. My 3 year old pronounces everything absolutely right. He practices in a whisper until he gets it down!

When she said "shirt" for the looooongest time it sounded like "sh!t". She'd say look at my "sh!t" in public and people would stare at me. LOL

She also calls bananas uh-nanas
