I use onesies all the time and have never had a problem, but than I have to buy bigger because ds is long in the torso.

Yup - onesies worked fine for us - just size up for a bigger bum!

Onsies arent a problem for us diaper wise and we are only pockets here that I make. The only problem I have is sizing up constantly, my 3 monther is almost 20 pounds so needs a large, some brands of large still needs the extenders that a pp talked about, I love those things.

Just like the ladies said above: I've noticed that we need a bit bigger size than normal because of the "girth" of cds.

Re: Onsies over CD's

Sorry to hijack the post, but can anyone tell me if those snap extenders on the one step ahead website really work with most onesies? I looked up a different kind, but they don't fit with gerber, old navy, etc... The problem with the one step ahead website is that their shipping rates are astronomical!!!
I was just wanting to make sure that they would work if I am going to shell out the dough...
Also is there any other place I can get them?
Thanks
Mary

Yes, they really work I have a set and love them because then I don't have to size up my onsies (so they don't look huge everywhere else to fit the bum). They come with a few differant snap sizes so whatever kind of onsies you have, they fit (at least I haven't found any that don't) HTH!

Re: Onsies over CD's

We don't use onsies at all around here. The only time I ever use a onsie is when we are traveling and on vacation and my ds is in disposables.
I have on the rare occasion put him in a onsie with cloth (pocket diaper) and had luck, but other times the leaking on to the shirt just became too annoying so I just don't buy them.

You can also get those onesie-extenders (piece of cloth w/ snaps at each end) to get more use out of your onesies (because cloth dipes ARE bigger than sposies, even Swaddlebees, altlhough they are close).

I also have no problems with onesies and use the onesie extenders. I got them from "one step ahead". they have an internet catalog.
