Nap time anyone?

The past couple of weeks I have found myself getting suddenly exhausted right around 3-4 in the afternoon. It works out good since that is Whilder's nap time too It's crazy to me though because I feel like I have been getting better sleep this pregnancy than I have in YEARS, a nice consistent 8 hours every night, yet by the afternoon I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm chalking it up to the pregnancy, I'm about 28 weeks and starting to get BIG. Anyone else find themselves needing a nap to make it through the day?

Re: Nap time anyone?

I have been taking naps with my nephew in the afternoon pretty consistently for weeks. Those progesterone shots that I have been taking totally make me tired.

Now that I am on bedrest you would think that I would be well rested, but it just isn't working out that way.

I'd love to be able to take naps. Alas, I work full time and pick up dd just as she waking up from her nap, so no nap for me.

Re: Nap time anyone?

I've done some napping this pregnancy- mainly because I keep waking up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep. (even on days I haven't napped)

Re: Nap time anyone?

I nap about half the time. I have a hard time because I feel like I have to decide between napping an getting anything done around the house. I can't get a whole lot done while my DS is awake.

naps are GOOD!!

and when it comes down to getting 'stuff' done or being a tired-crabby mama... well, I finally learned that taking the nap is a better option because it adds up and then crabby mama turns into screaming mama that cannot cope anymore... and stuff still doesn't get done!

Re: Nap time anyone?

Try getting in an afternoon snack with a little bit of protein in it. Sometimes that helps the afternoon doldrums.

Or just take that nap! You're prego, you're entitled!

Re: Nap time anyone?

It seems like I have a couple days where I sleep a whole bunch- like 10 hours at night- and need a nap. And then I'll have a couple days where I can't sleep more than 6 hours and I don't need a nap. So I guess I go back and forth.
