Re: April WW! Stop dieting start living!

Highest not-pregnant-- 205
Start-- 189

Week13-- 169
Week14-- 165.5

Loss-- 3.5
Total loss-- 23.5
Final: 150

After being so miserable last week that I have only been losing half a pound a week, I made a big jump this week. I had major family problems so I'm sure that accounts for quite a bit of it.

Hi Flobee! You got me into this WW adventure! Nice to see you back.

Great loss Kira! There is that 3.5 loss you wanted! You're going to be at your new goal in no time! You're smaller now than when you got married, right?

Flobee, this is a good link about Wendie, I really think it makes sense and it works great for me!

There is always a point to losing! Losing that last 5-10 pounds means that you would be more comfortable pregnant and would have less to lose after you've had the baby.... it also would hopefully help you to be conscious of the choices you're making WHILE you're pregnant so you don't have as much to lose on the other side!

Awesome job on the 70 pound loss though! All told I will need to lose 80 to get to where I want to be (30 gone, 50 to go!)

can you do WW while pregant? i guess i could start it know and always quit once i get a a positive... i am not sure i need to lose "weight" tho... i measured my waist and it was 28... which is the same as prepregancy.... i think i just need to tone now... but WW is about a lifestyle i think so i may give it a shot. how much does it cost?

Re: April WW! Stop dieting start living!

I'm actually not sure! I don't subscribe to WW at all! I just follow the principals for eating on my own for free!

I wouldn't use WW as a tool to lose weight while preg but I wouldn't be afraid at all to use it as a tool to control my weight gain, KWIM? My Doc was always very upfront about how much I should be gaining in each Tri, month, etc. And was always open when I gained too much, so I would think that if I had asked her if using WW points system to keep my weight in check she would have said yes. You can always ask your OB once you get your positive!

Re: April WW! Stop dieting start living!

Here is how to calculate how many points you should be eating

Are you?
Female (2)
Male (8)
A nursing mom (12)

Age?
17-26 (4)
88827-37 (3)
38-47 (2)
48-58 (1)
Over 58 (0)

What do you weigh?
(Enter the first 2 digits of your weight in here... for example if you weigh 175 enter 17...) (If less than 100 pounds enter first digit of you weight... for example if you weigh 98 enter 9)

How tall are you?
Under 5'1" (0)
5'1" to 5'10" (1)
over 5'10" (2)

How do you spend MOST of your day?
Sitting Down (0)
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing (2)
Walking most of the time (4)

TOTAL the points up and that is your daily allowance.

You also have 35 weekly points that you can use whatever way that you want to.

MAKE SURE YOU EAT YOUR FLEX POINTS! I use the Wendie plan (see link above) or you can use them at your discretion, but please don't not use them, you will slow down your metabolism and your weight loss if you don't eat them!

***And of course, this is the calculations for losing weight, for maintaining or gaining slowly I would add between 8 and 10 points and see what my body did with that and adjust accordingly.
