Re: I shoulda known - DH is NIP-phobic

My Dh would never have it either....I just make sure and feed him before we go somewhere and when he starts getting fussy I say- we are going NOW.>>>

Isn't that SO inconvenient? I just had a baby on Sunday and am leaving Monday with my new baby, 9 year old and mother-in-law (the 'put the baby down or you'll spoil it kind) for a 5 night stay away while my husband's there having surgery. We've barely got nursing down, let alone in public, or even in front of family for that matter. I am trying to work on nursing in a sling, but that's not working out.

Sigh. . .

mama! I'm glad you have a place to vent your frustrations here on DS.

I hope you are able to have a good talk with him.

Has he expressed specifically why it's embarassing to him? I mean, it's not like any of his body is exposed ya know?

No way...no how.
The first time I NIP I could tell my DH was slightly uncomfortable. I looked straight at him and said firmly, "Does this bother you?" and the smart man replied "nope".
When I read him the original post he just chuckled, shook his head and said, "oh man...no way".
