My elementary aged brothers do karate with a boy named Anakin. The dad I guess is a big Star Wars fan and convinced his wife sometime in the late 1990s that it was a good name for their baby. She had no idea they were making prequels about Anakin Skywalker and that everyone was going to know where the name came from.

haha, we were watching it on tv last night too and thought it was a cute name as well. and now no one can ever use it without being labeled a star wars freak...

When I meet DH he had TONS of star wars lego....this was about 10 years ago and he was 22 and said he was "keeping" them for his future children

He also has all of the special edition Star Wars movie and is a FAN but not a freak....I dont think I could talk him into the name but I do think it is cute

Ha ha! I knew as soon as I saw the title what it was about! I LOVE that name, too. It has been on my list for a while now. Dh might even agree since he is a total nerd about stuff like that.

There's a mama on here who is considering it if her new little one is a boy. I like it, though not sure that I'd be brave enough to use it myself.
