Diaper Swappers

Since DS was born, we've been using a diaphragm with spermicide since DH is not ready for another and I am against hormonal forms of bc. But it seems as though the spermicide is really irritating me. Does anyone know how effective diaphragms are w/out spermicide? Personally I don't care, as I'd love to have another right away. But I need the info for DH.

I've heard anywhere from 75%-95% effectiveness if you leave it in the full 6-8 hours after intercourse. I'd say they are as effective as condoms if used correctly.

I am thinking about this for when this baby is born.

what spermicides have you used?? maybe you could try another?

my mom used a diaphram for years with success.

I've been using the only spermicide I can find around here. Don't remember what it's called, but it's the same brand name as the tube that came w/my diaphragm.

Yep, that's without spermicide. Diaphragms are very effective when used correctly. IMHO, I think you'd have a higher chance of a condom failing than a diaphragm.
