Re: "sposie outfits" and other trimness thoughts...

we still wear a lot of regular clothes and i find sizing up pretty helpful but even when we dont, our BG's looks very normal under regular clothes, well any pocket thats not overstuffed actually. even a trifolded prefold with a wool wrap is pertty trim.
the summer months are mainly a diaper and matching tee

my dd looks too weird in all the carter pants and tops sets she has. They make her look like a huge pear! I just started looking for only dresses.

So far, I haven't had too many issues, but when I put Emma in a more snug outfit, I use a Zany Zebra pocket.

I also use a prefold that is a little too small, pinned, with a thirsties cover. Trim as a sposie!

She hasn't worn a sposie in 7 months, and then it was only for a short period while we travelled, so I actually don't know what she looks like in sposies now, lol, or how her clothes would fit her! There are none in the house to test out the theory.

My Lo can wear anything with a cd, he even has jeans that he can still wear that are 3-6 months (he's 10 months). He has never been in a sposie. So far I have ordered 5 prs of shorties and have 8 cute covers, I plan on putting the shorties on when we go somewhere and just a shirt and pocket or shirt with a diaper/cover when we are home.

Re: "sposie outfits" and other trimness thoughts...

My daughter has a VERY tiny bum. And I aim for trimness with absorbency in all of her diapers (and we use pockets when we're going out or when she's at daycare).

If she weren't so tall (almost 32" and not even 9 months old yet), she could easily fit into 3-6 month pants (I even tried it and she looked fine, except for the length). She has to wear 12 month pants to get the length she needs and they're baggy everywhere else.

We discovered last month, during our Easter travels, that her pants do not stay up at all, if she has a disposable diaper on.

Re: "sposie outfits" and other trimness thoughts...

The only issues I ever had were last year during the summer. Those one piece outfits(for boys at least) aren't very generous in the crotch. LOL I found then that my FBs were the trimmest I had. It actually good for him to wear CDs(for more than being better for him LOL); he needs 18-24 months clothes for the length; but can still wear 6-9 months in his waist. The dipes help his pants stay up! LOL

This is us too! DS has several pair of pants from Carter's that he cannot wear unless he has a cloth diaper on. They're fine in the length, but if he has a sposie on they just fall off his bum. It's kinda funny. And he's by no means a small child (almost 34 inches and 29 pounds at 16 months.) It's just the way he's built, I guess.

MIL buys most of DD's clothes. She knows we like stretchy pants and honestly since DD is on the thin side I can get most everything besides jeans over a fluffy butt. If I need super trim I go with a FB.

And yes, the diapers hold up DDs clothes too! We put her in a sposie for nighttime and i'm like, where is her butt, there is so much room in these PJs.
