SB mommas!

Are the SS's much different than the aplix? I have M aplix that are too small and I am wondering if the ss's would make a diff. The L's seem to be a bit too large atm...
TY!

Re: SB mommas!

Just today I was noticing a difference in size in my SBs and I have both. But I remember reading somewhere that there are new and old style SBs? Hopefully someone can help...

I have both and find that the aplix are more adjustable and fit better. I don't think you'd be happier with the SS. I have also found that there is a huge difference b/w medium and large. My DD is between sizes right now and can't fit well into either

Re: SB mommas!

I have old style ss and new style applix. . . the newer ones have much more room. I'm not sure if it's the new style or the closure style.

I guess that doesn't help you much, eh?

I would agree with the pp who said that the applix allows more adjustability though . . .

So basically I should just get L's and deal with the size until she fits it well? The M aplix are too tight- I was hoping that M ss's would be perfect 'in-between' M and L aplix..

The only difference between the old-style and new-style is that the new ones are roomier? How can I tell which ones I have? Are they different labels or something?

Any other SB users have input?

(... or if anyone has any M or L Fuzzi Fannies I'll happily take them off of your hands! )

Re: SB mommas!

I have new style aplix and side snap larges and I can't see any obvious difference in size. The aplix are more finely adjustable than SS, so I doubt that medium SS would help you at this stage.

Re: SB mommas!

Old style has a square tag on the front, new has a rectangular tag on the back. If you have aplix they are new style. I have aplix and ss M and both fit well but as pp have said the aplix is mor adjustable. Our aplix ones fasten with tabs almost touching while the ss ones have to be on the middle snaps so imo if the aplix are too snug the ss might even be more snug. I'd just stick with larges, maybe double stuff them to make them fit a little more snug.

Re: SB mommas!

Well, I guess it depends on the baby. I have the newer style of medium Aplix and Side-snap and I totally don't use the Aplix anymore because they seem too snug, but DS wears the Side-snap at the middle setting and it fits great. Also, when DS was JUST beginning to fit into the larges (right before he started walking and skinnied down) - he actually fit the Large Side-snap at the smallest setting while the Large Aplix were still falling off of him. I really do prefer the Side-snaps because of this. It seems to us there is a less of a gap in sizes when you go from medium SS to Large SS compared to the Aplix version.

My suggestion - just buy 1 medium Side-Snap to test and maybe a large of each style before you commit to any big buys.

GL!

Thanks for your responses!
Hmmmm... perhaps the new style would suit us better than the old style until we fit L's better...
Now the ? is: How can I tell if I have the old style or new?

Re: SB mommas!

If you have only aplix they are new style, old style were all ss.
