That would be because of the lovely little page element that has been placed there.

The "become a supporter" box. If it were not there, I believe that the white tower would disappear as the ads all disapear elsewhere, and the space is reallocated. But, that lovely little "pay here" box page element has permanently distorted the page. HTH!

Okay...so I haven't been here for a while, a few weeks...and the ads are making my machine time out...It took me forever to get this thread to open. Anyone have any ideas about that? Beside using firfox...firefox and I have issue for some reason!

Site seems to load fast for me....has this issue cleared up?

It's been working fine for me since that random hosting error message that a bunch of us got several days ago.

So what about people who've hit 250 and still see the ads? I just had my 250 post and still see them and I know a few other people have well over that many and still see the ads after the first post?

I'm still waiting to find out about the side bar annoyance. I was told by Lee that they were looking into it - I PMed a few days ago seeing what was up with that since it had been weeks since he told me that...no word.
