Weaned for a week and now I have a plugged duct. Help!
We haven't nursed in a week. DD is 15 months old and the last month, we have nursed only at bedtime. But now, after a week, I have a cherry sized plugged duct in my right breast. I tried hand expressing it and got several long streams, so I hope it is released. But, if not...I don't want to pump and I definitely don't want to reintroduce it to DD. She was getting obnoxious about it before we stopped and was yanking on everyone's shirts. That behavior went away 2 days after we stopped nursing.
So...what do you do? I don't want to stimulate more milk, but I don't want to get mastitis either. Thanks!
