Would you lanolize if you're not using as cover?

We only own pockets and AI2s. But recently I bought my 1st wool, not because I'm thinking of switching over to fitteds and wool, but just because I like the look of wool and they were so freakin' cute They didn't come lanolized and I'm just wondering if you'd fuss with it, if you weren't using them for the purpose of a cover, kwim? Part of my reluctance is because I've never used wool wash and I'm scared I'm somehow going to ruin them. So to lanolize or not, that is the question...

if your not going to use it to be waterproof then i don't see why you'd need to lanilize them.
washing is for the pee and possible poop that might bet on the wool so if its just going to be used like pants or shorts or something , wash once a month in some baby shampoo and water, lay on a towel to air dry and your done

ITA, if they're just clothes you don't need lanolin. But if you ever decide to use them over fitteds, don't be afraid to lanolize - if I can do it anyone can!

yes it is easy I got a bar of wool wash, and a bottle of spray lanolin
