I have found other recipes that call of pure soap and I wanted to try some of my plain lye soap? Any thought mommas?

I didn;t know white vinegar has the effect like softener! Wow!.. So would that make my PFs softer then too, huh? (I always hated the vinegary smell, that's why I never used it in my dipes washing routines)

I like rose mountain herbs for my essential oils, they are really good quality, and have a lot of organic options too.

So , is it less expensive to make your own detergent? If so I will do it!

My gran says "Lye will definately get it clean", lol. Good ol' Ozarks girl, that's all she used for years!

I wanted to find something that would work on dipes. My friend has been using equal parts washing soda, borax, and clorax hard water softener. From what I can tell, all of those are safe for dipes too. I am using it today for the first time. I will lyk how it works.
