Can't I Reuse a FB?

When I change Ds's FB, I take out the Joey Bunz, which is soaked, but then the FB doesn't feel wet or smell stinky, *must* I wash it or can I reuse it once or twice with a fresh Joey Bunz? Is that gross?

I always wash mine! The pee had to have gone through that fabric to get on that insert so it's still dirty.

Re: Can't I Reuse a FB?

I wouldn't do that on a regular basis--probably would irritate my kids skin. I had to do it once because we were in an airport and our flight was cancelled late at night and DS1 was about 1 yrs old and we ran out of diapers. There were no stores around and we didn't have a car so I restuffed the diapers and reused the FB shells (I was thankful that I hadn't brought sposies at that point!!!)

I wouldn't put the diaper back on either, the urine still gets on the fleece.

Re: Can't I Reuse a FB?

they say you're not supposd to, but i don't really see why you couldn't.....if it irritated your kids skin or something, i wouldn't., but if not, who cares?

Personaslly, i dont...but what i have done in a pinch is, i will pull the insert out, and them put an insert over the fleece, using the fb like a cover....just to like, get home or whatever.....
