Diaper Swappers

I have a mama on a local hs group I belong to who needs help. Her dh isn't that supportive of her hsing her kids and she and the kids want to do it. So far he has only said yes to one of them being hsed. Can you give me some links to help her show him that hsing is a good thing. Links that show how well hsed kids do and other things like that? Thanks!!!

I understand you want her to HS, but you really shouldn't pit her against her husband. If she has taken the stance herself you should let the two of them work it out, afterall his opinion counts too and he may have good reasons. I'm sure you only want to help but giving her "ammo" might not be the best thing. Handing a man a bunch of printouts and saying "See, I'm right and you are wrong" won't go over well. If he has agreed to one she should get started with that and after he sees that child suceeding he will probably be more open to including the others.

I am not trying to pit her against her husband. I am trying to help her show him the benefits so that they can talk about it. I am sorry if I gave anyone the wrong idea but I am definitely not for pitting a husband and wife against eachother. My experience has taught me that having the right information can help them discuss it and make better decisions about it. That is what I did with my dh. He likes to have the facts and it helps him to see the other side of things.

ETA - It doesn't matter to me whether someone homeschools or not. What matters is that they do what they feel is the best thing for their children and that they make that decision as informed as possible. I do not judge anyone for sending their kids to PS.

I wasn't trying to attack you, I understood what you meant - only good things. I'm just suggesting you can catch more flys with honey, that's all. And yes information is important but how it's presented is just as important

I totally agree with that! I can provide info but the rest is up to her.

I hear that home schooled kiddos are like 2 yrs ahead, I have the same issues with my hubby, he thinks thats what they get paid to do. My arrgument is that I am the mommy and I feal that it's MY duity, Sory I'm not much help, just wanted to add that!
