When did your baby drop/engage...
I could look this up in my pregnancy books-and probably will later-but it's more fun to ask you gals! Along with my pregnancy hormones my brain is doing something funny. I
feel like my baby feels lower, but I'm just at 32 weeks! I thought my previous babies engaged more around 35/36 weeks at least. So maybe I just got fatter-I dunno. So when did your babies engage/drop?

Re: When did your baby drop/engage...
Usually first babies 'drop' anywhere from a few months to a few weeks before delivery. I 'dropped' a couple of months before. She was literally rubbing my pelvic bone. It really hurt. I didn't deliver until I started my 43 week and she was induced as I had NO dilation nor effacement.
The rest have all 'dropped' a day or two before delivery. Usually when the baby drops.. labor starts and baby is born. I do know that babies will get in position {head down} at a certain point and even though it makes you think they are lower.. they don't necessarily 'drop'. If that makes sense. I think all pregnancies are different though and I would be interested in hearing how others do. Maybe I am just weird?

Re: When did your baby drop/engage...
My son dropped around 36 weeks and was born at just over 41 weeks.
This time I dropped around 33 weeks and no baby yet...hopefully she waits another week or so as I am just about to hit 36 weeks. The midwife said it is unusual for them to drop so early the second time around but that it does happen and it doesn't mean that labor is right around the corner or anything.

None of my boys dropped until I was in hard labor.

Re: When did your baby drop/engage...
This is only way it's ok to drop babies.

Re: When did your baby drop/engage...
With my first baby he didn't drop until I was in labor at 40wks.
I am 38 wks. pregnant with my second and he dropped at 36wks. It's so strange how TOTALLY DIFFERENT each pregnancy is.

Re: When did your baby drop/engage...
My first baby did not engage until I was in labor! I never waddled or anything. LOL. All the pregnancy books say it happens before that for 1st babies but it doesn't for a lot of women!
