Looking for a cover

I am looking for a cover for breastfeeding. I am not really interested in any thing like the hooter hider. With my last I used a light blanket that was big enough to cover him with. He is attached to it so I don't see him letting me use it for the new baby. I want it to be pretty big and lightweight. Anyone know where to find something like this? Or maybe some mama's that make them?

Re: Looking for a cover

Hi there! I make nursing covers and am getting ready to stock some more on Monday. I also do custom orders where you can choose your own fabric if you are looking for something specific. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I'm happy to help in any way I can.

I also make nursing covers but they are similar in shape to the hooter hider, with completely different features and material tho...

I wanted to post this since I sent it to the OP via pm.. There is also the slurp and burp http://www.slurpburp.com/ which is a cover for you, not the baby.
and http://www.busybabywraps.com if you are looking for something more shawl/poncho like.

Good luck mamas.

OP, I also had another idea for you.. you could buy a blanket you liked and sew two pieces of ribbon to the corner and tie it on your bra strap when you nurse.

Re: Looking for a cover

I honestly just used a recieving blanket. That being said, when they get a bit older that is really hard as it is small and they tend to pull on it lol. My first I was freaked out to NIP, with my second, I would but was always very self concious, with my third, I could sit at a restaurant with nothing covering me (and nobody could tell) and I could nurse and eat at the same time lol. It definetly takes some getting used to. One thing that helps to is a couple good nursing tops, like tanks to go under your top shirt, that way you can actually be covered and still nurse. Also a sling is great for that as the sling blocks the view and like pp said, you can always stitch some ribbon on a fav. blanket.

Re: Looking for a cover

There is a huge selection of nursing covers at Etsy.com. You can even get custom covers made. Etsy is sort of like an ebay but without the auction style, its all fixed pricing. AND everything is either handcrafted, vintage, or supplies. I LOVE Etsy and I also sell there so I can't help but suggest it!
