Making the AR co-sleeper more comfortable?

I just bought an Arm's Reach Mini co-sleeper for my LO that will be born in July. I can't imagine sleeping on the pack-n-play like mattress. I looked on their website and they don't sell a mattress for it. Did anyone here make the mattress more comfortable? I saw the plush sheet. How "plush" is it?

I can't sleep with the baby in the bed with me. Not only am I terrified to hurt them but my DH is a really sound sleeper and rolls and throws his arms everywhere. I get hit quite often.

TIA!

I have heard of mamas buying foam from the craft store to put on the mattress and then covering it with a crib/pack n play sheet. I dont know how safe it is but it is something to concider. My kids never minded the mattress it comes with.

Mine never minded it. After a few weeks I did get a sleep positioner that was foam, but that was more to try to prevent flat heads rather than comfort concerns.

I did have some super soft minkee-like pack and play sheets that fit the cosleeper fine and made things a bit softer and warmer.

My lo is in the co-sleeper right now. I have the original sheet (which is really just my backup) and a minkee sheet. I love the minkee sheet. It's really soft. Liam seems to like it just fine.

We didn't have the mini, but the regular co-sleeper. My son never seemed to have a problem with it.

My youngest sleeps in a regular pack n play, always has, and she's never seemed uncomfortable in it, either.

Where did you get the minkee sheet?

Please don't add foam to it...that is really unsafe!

My DS slept in the cosleeper for a few weeks after we brought him home and he never minded it. I had the original sheet. (minky sounds great though!) I just swaddled him and laid him in there. After that he slept in the bed with me.
