Re: 7 weeks and already in the hospital!

Hugs, mama! I had nausea/vomiting the whole time, but never got that dehydrated! Take care of yourself and rest lots (while checking New Posts on DS!)

Oh Seasyn, I hope you're feeling better soon! It sounds like Hyperemesis is definitely a hereditary thing, seeing how ill you and B. have both been. I look forward to seeing you all get through this with your babies safely at home, but just try to hang in there in the meantime. *hugs*

Oh mama!!! You are me.. last time.. I ws just like that.. send home with Zofran in a pump.. so I could STAY healthy.. and it worked GREAT!!!

This time around I DEMANDED Zofran from the begining.. take it every day 2 times and even tho I am still sick.. at least some food stays down and I am not dehydrated or loosing weight.. you need to make sure they give you some nasea meds to go home with..

Mostly just outpatient as this is kinda expected for me (I've been pregnant 3 times HG with all!) It's brutal, no doubt. The vomitting for me isn't the bad part the complete and utter weakness associated with it is what really gets me.

I hope this passes for you and you don't need a zofran pump and fluids at home because that blows.

Go to www.helpHER.org for tips on how to cope, new medicines that your OB might not be aware of, and general emotional support.
hypermesis gravitum is the devil! I've had it with both of my pregnancies and the only thing that cured it was delivering the baby!

It is hereditary. My grandmother, my mother, and I have all had severe hyperemesis with all of our pregnancies (9 total).
