What can I do about my $400 sewing machine. *UPDATE he left bad feedback*

I bought this commercial sewing machine off of ebay. Here is the link to it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1
Well I got it today and it is missing the plug in and the foot feet. I emailed the seller about it and he says he packed it himself and he knows he included everything. He says he went back to look where he packed it but there is nothing. So basically I am SOL. Well according to his feedback he has 3495 he's sold and he has like a million things up for sell now. This is not a one man job. Can not possibly be. Someone forgot the thing. I don't know what to do. What are my options I paid by paypal through my checking account. TIA

Wow, I'd be ticked! But you could file with PP for the missing pieces. I think there's an option for "missing parts/pieces" there. I had to file once whenever I bought a TracFone off Ebay. The lady sent the phone and card and not the adapter to plug it in (which she said was included.) I filed and got a partial refund. That really stinks for you though! Does he have any negative feedbacks??

Yup, I would look into filing with paypal for missing pieces.

Re: What can I do about my $400 sewing machine.

Yeah he has 4 neg. feedbacks in the past 12 months. I am just afraid what they refund won't cover me having to find this piece and buy it since they no longer make the machine. I am also wondering if the reason that he didn't include it might be that it doesn't work. Therefore I would be out the whole machine... Urghh. But I can't exactly afford to mail back the 38 lb machine and lose my shipping both ways and when I receive my money back not have enough to get another one.

Did you see his reply on his latest positive feedback? Looks like a weirdo!

ETA: oh, he must be posting other feedback in addition to that one. I get it now. Still weird. Just ignore me.

Re: What can I do about my $400 sewing machine.

I'd email him via paypal and ask for replacements right away to be sent. If he deals with this stuff and sells a vaiety of things he may have what you need (even if they aren't original parts some machines do have things that can be taken off other machines, universal sort of).

If he doesn't have it ask for a refund for the amount it's going to cost to replace the parts missing. Go to the manufacturer site and see if they still sell the parts (you may have to email them or call).

If no luck there go onto ebay and see if anyone has parts for your machine as there are lots of ppl who buy parts for their stuff there.

If he won't refund or send you replacements file with paypal as missing parts/pieces or "item not as described" if the parts/pieces isn't an option.

If paypal asks for amount to be refunded state what it will cost to replace the items.

Re: What can I do about my $400 sewing machine.

Can't repackage. The box was like destroyed before it was ever packaged... he just covered it in the brown mailers tape to make sure it didn't fall apart and spray painted fragile all on it with blue spray paint. Not a good packaging job at all, but still it arrived in once piece so I am not complaining about that. I just want my dad gum footfeet and plug in. Urghhh. I will try the things that you said to do SAHMTo2. Thanks for the advice. I have kept every email message we have sent through ebay, but if I need to send them through PP I will do that too. It is all just soooo frustrating.

I personally would file as item not as described and let paypal deal with it Hon. That sucks I hate when you are all excited for something and then when it comes it does you no good =(
