Question I cleaned the carseat straps...help!

I used Holy Cow degreaser (diluted) to clean the straps in my daughter's britax. It has no bleach and no "harmful" solvents. I used warm water, a towel, and the degreaser...is this okay? I didn't weaken the straps or anything right?

Did you soak the straps?

I did rag on quite a bit of water but I didn't actually soak them, is that what you mean?

Hmm, honestly, I would replace them, just to be on the safe side. The water doesn't concern me, but the degreaser does. Even if it is a natural degreaser, many natural things can be really harsh. Maybe call Britax and see what they say? I know they say to only use a small amount of liquid dish soap. A new set is $13, plus $7 shipping.

Baby wipes also work really well, for next time.

Tough call. I'd be inclined to say replace them, but then sometimes I can be a little paranoid about these things. See what britax has to say..it's only $20 to replace them. A small amount for you child's safety.

I would think this stuff is as gentle as soap and water...I will give Britax a call on Monday.
