The new clorox?

I think it is called ultimate care? Anybody used in their dipes. I have only used bleach in my pf's twice, 1 time after antibiotics and 1 time after a stomach bug. I worry that it will eat my diapers us or whatever. But this stuff is supposed to be so gentle that you can pour it directly onto clothes, so I wonder if I could use it in dipes maybe a few times a month or something? My hot water is not hot enough IMO and I worry about my dipes. I always use a full cup of detergent in the cold wash with borax and then the hot second gets like a tsp or two and then I rinse them until bubbles are gone, usually takes a 3rd rinse. I have never had build up, but the only reason I use so much is because I worry that my hot wash isn't hot enough. What do you guys think? Or do you have any other suggestions for killing any germies?

Re: The new clorox?

I saw that in the store, and was wondering the exact same thing - if it would be better for diapers than a capful of the regular bleach. I'm another one who's water heater is set lower for safety's sake, and I don't think it gets my diapers clean enough on the first wash.

Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) is an awesome germ-killer, and it is even used in hospital laundries to kill germs/bacteria. I add about 10 drops to my rinse. It is very powerful, so don't use too much.
Mom to one cool dude...honest.

If you add eso to rinsing does it not leave a repeling residue on your diapers?

Re: The new clorox?

I LOVE IT. I accidently spilled some on my fav sweatshirt and it did not ruin it. I have used it on my dipes and I think it works great. I do not care for the smell, but that is the only drawback.
