Wool mama's , help !!
I lanolized my first pair of Arsitocrats (sp) and I dont think that the lanolin was dissolved enough because now I have spots on them . How do you get those out ? Will they disappear as they dry ? Are they ruined ?
UGH I did everything by the instructions .

If the spots are still there you can strip them off my adding some dawn to a sink of warm water and letting the soaker sit in it for about 15 minutes
Then rinse it in warm water making sure to be gentle to avoid felting it |

Re: Wool mama's , help !!
Will I have to relanolize them? Will the dawn strip it completely ?

Re: Wool mama's , help !!
there is a chance the lanolin spots may not come out, always lanolize your wool inside out to help prevent spots.

That's a good tip - I am relatively new to wool and hadn't thought of that.

Re: Wool mama's , help !!
I have a few lano spots on my crats...but I've never really worried about it, b/c I only use them for night...but I appreciate the dawn tip
I wonder if a wool wash bar might help too?? Or would that just make it worse? LOL

Re: Wool mama's , help !!
The wool wash bar won't make it worse but it has lanolin in it too so it won't get rid of lan stains.

Re: Wool mama's , help !!
I hope the spots come out. If not maybe you can dye them?
