Wool Overalls?

So I've been drooling over the disana overalls for a while now and just found them for a pretty good deal. I'm more than half contemplating just buying them so that I can stop thinking about it. I have a question, though.

What do you put under these? It seems to me that if I put a t-shirt the dipe would wick onto it unless I changed IMMEDIATELY (ds is a major super soaker)...and with the wool, I wouldn't feel the wetness right away. How does everyone use these? Does the bib part hold a t-shirt away from the dipe?

Thanks for the advice!

i have heard of people using wool onesies (i think dunk n' fluff can make custom ones)... or something that might be easier but an extra step, you could just put a nice thin layer interlock soaker on underneath - that would be seriously bullet proof . I love those too - there are some really cute knitting patterns out there of overalls as well. Hoping more people have suggestions too

Re: Wool Overalls?

Anybody else use these? I really can't justfiy the $ for the overalls and then $ for special onesies. Do shirts (regular t-****s) pick up the wetness from a dipe?

I have read that you would need a wool shirt or the dipe will wick.

Re: Wool Overalls?

I know VinThi Designs makes recycled rompers that look really cute and would get you around the need for a T-Shirt...

Re: Wool Overalls?

I loved our Disana overalls. I just cut the bottom off of regular cotton onesies (which I did anyways, since they don't work with *any* wool) and they were short enough that they didn't get peed on. Well, occasionally I'd need to change the shirt if it got damp at the bottom, but really, it got damp at the top (slobber, boob milk, etc) much more often.
