can you do the fetascope by yourself??\I have always wondered. I was gong ot buy one. but wasnt sure it would work. LOL but i knew this would

It took me awhile to be able to find it and recognize it-- but yes, you can.

I got mine for $12 on eBay-- It's a huge piece of mind....

I think it's wonderful, and if it tells you that your baby is doing well, that's all that matters! Have fun with it mama!!!

Me too! And even though I was high risk, everything that made me high risk had nothing to do with the pregnancy itself, just risks to the baby afterward. However, I was REALLY paranoid until I reached the 30 week mark, anyways. (I watched too much Disc Health

) Really though its just so comforting to be able to fall asleep listening to the baby's heartbeat!

I plan on getting one with the next pregnancy, but then again, I'm doing a UP/UC, so I'd need it. lol But I don't think you're crazy at all. Hey, I might even buy it from you when you're done! lol

What a great idea!! Why didn't I think of getting one of those? I, too, have suffered through going to the dr. for the first time and there was no heartbeat---peace of mind is worth every, stinkin' penny.

Well, i told him i bought one and he thru a fit.. He said he didnt think i was crazy ,just paranoid. and that he wishes i would have talked to him before i spent the money... But he is over it... LOL
I told him right before we dtd, so i knew it would be a short lived discussion LOL

now i cant wait to get it..

Cool I got one of those things that is like a stethiscope (sp?) and it sucked for me. I think I am too fat. I could hear my heartbeat really good though...

You're certainly not crazy. My baby is pretty quiet that I wouldn't mind just checking on him everyday.
