sunscreen for 2 month old?

Samantha is my first child, and as they say, I'm a little overly freaked out about things! One of them is her exposure to the sun. I'm forever shielding her with anything I can find. Is there a sunscreen out there that anyone can recommend for a 2 month old, or am I stuck using my hands??

We use the Badger one but I'm not sure on a baby that young. I thought I read somewhere not to use sunscreen below 6 months. Do you have a nice wide brimmed hat for her?

Our ped recommended the Banana Boat for babies it's tear free and waterproof. When your lo sweats or gets wet and it get into her eyes it won't burn and you don't have to re-apply very often. It's like $6 for a big tube at walmart. Water Babies also has a travel size if you need it for purse or diaper bag. We just took some of our BB and put into a hotel lotion bottle and put in the diaperbag for unexpected sun exposure. HTH

I don't think you're suppose to use sunscreen for younger than six months.

Besides, sun hats are cute!

Actuall the APA just changed this saying that the health risks to not using sun screen were much more harmful than actually using it! Anything that says baby on it should be ok...

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

I just keep them out of the sun with a hat and shade.
I think California baby is safe though, but on the bottle says talk to your ped before using it on a baby before 6 months old.
