Sucessfully store elastic?

Has anyone ever sucessfully stored diapers with elastic from one babe to the next? If so what did you do? How long were they stored? Please be as specific as possible.

I'm devestated. I had FCB and LC in storage for all of 5 months before I got them out to use. I washed them once and now the elastic is shot in all of them. It was fine when they came out of storage. How did this happen. I paid close to $100 for some of these.

Were the new diapers, or used? My thoughts, honestly... was that the elastic was likely already failing when they were put away.

If they were new, then I really have no idea - how were they stored? In a closet inside, or somewhere like the attic or garage?

I've heard of that happening before, but I have no idea why. So sorry mama!

I successfully stored some Wonderoos and Kissaluvs for about a year and a half. I have them in a plastic bin in the basement all that time. No problems!

Re: Sucessfully store elastic?

I have stored FB's, roos, and Mother Ease for extended periods of time in these airtight plastic bags. https://www.spacebag.com/spacebag/901721/ They worked GREAT I had my entire NB stash in these for 3 years and they came out FINE! In fact they are back in the bags awaiting future babe #5! I just stripped them dried everything in the dryer to reseal the PUL and put them in the bag sucked out all the air and Volia. The very best thing about this is that it makes the package soooo small that you can fit it anywhere!
