my daughter hasn't been bf'd since she was 8 months old so I didn't know if she would even like bm but I put it in her sippy cup last night well, half bm and half milk just to see. and she gulped it down so fast! guess that's a good thing. she hasn't asked to nurse like baby yet so that is a good thing too but I figure a bit of mommy's milk is good for her. just wanted to share.

It is good for them even if it's not from the tap.
A few weeks ago dd1 was sick with a stomach bug, puking, ect. I gave her some bm in a cup and she kept calling it her special milk. I figured it could only help.

my older dd still drinks it from the cup too occasionally and she loves it! (and i often give her old pumped stuff so I was surprised!)

Dh and I were sick with the stomach bug and I of course was nursing ds #2 but I had managed to pump a bit while I was sick and I gave it to DS #1 mixed in with his regular milk in hopes he would be spared whatever Dh and I had. Both boys stayed nice and healthy...

DS was FF because he never could nurse and my milk dried up becasue the pump just wasnt enough for my body. Anyways DD was born wen he was 11 monts old and I started pumping and giving him EBM.. he LOVED it. He got EBM until he was 2. And when DD had EBM in a bottle he was notorious for stealing it and guzzling it down in 2 seconds flat

When I had my ds I was pumping soooo much milk (preemie in NICU) and dd was 18 months so she got some too. DD was breastfed until 13 months and then restarted at 18 months!

I had a LC tell me that she use to put it in her dh's coffee and the mashed potatoes without him knowing about it

This is very interesting to me. I had never considered giving BM to my older DD. She isn't a fan of cows milk so WTH - I am my own personal dairy so why not? Milk is super expensive anyway.

I do it too. If Caius sees me pumping, he always asks for some milk and often goes to get a bottle or cup for me to put it in

It's adorable! I figure it can only help so why no!
