Does your DH EC too?

Is your DH is helpful with your efforts to EC? Both of my children are older and take care of themselves in the bathroom at home now. BUT when they were both little he was very, very helpful. Cueing and taking them both to the bathroom. Helping in public too. How about you?

Re: Does your DH EC too?

Dh will try. He isn't very good at reading her pee cues, but he will put her on the potty if he thinks she needs to go, or if I ask him to. And he can read her poopy cues. I am very blessed that he supports most of what I want to do with the kids (cd, babywear, bf, homeschool, ec, erf and extended harnessing).

Re: Does your DH EC too?

My dh loves the fact that we EC and is very helpful. He brags to everyone at work that his dd goes on the potty and he barely has to change diapers. He even took a video of it on his phone for those who didn't believe him. (Don't worry she was all covered up so no one could see her "parts") It was so cute because she peed on the potty and then said "pee pee, good girl, all done" because that is what we say. I think were going to somehow figure out how to get that off the phone and save it for when she's older.

DH helped a lot when she was smaller...he finds it awkward to hold her at over 20 pounds so he will sit her on the potty...but we are stillw orking on her going when she sits...she mostly goes in the hold position and he says he isn't very comfortable with the hold since she is so figity...

yeah he does try when I tell him to. She doesn't give cues so it's all about timing and we haven't figured out what her timing has changed to yet...I need to make another log I think...hehe.....

Re: Does your DH EC too?

DH will potty her if I ask him too, and sometimes if he thinks she needs to go. It is soooo cute to see him do this. I think it helps their bonding tremendously. He even made up a "poopy in the sink" song that he sings to her.

My DH does not EC. He doesn't mind if I do but for some reason he doesn't. I am just impressed that he can fold prefolds with a snappi. He is very supportive of my unconventional parenting methods but he still thinks ec is too weird for him to try.
