Exclamation Need Your Help!

My DS 5 (6 on march 7th)has a First Year True fit. He is around 48lbs and his head is about even with the top of the head rest. Getting him in is hard any more and leaves us little seat belt strap (strap in between legs) to pull on. Is it time to look into a booster? If so what kind? We have a 07 chevy impala and 08 chevy 4 door truck.

We thank god for our infertility everyday!!

How mature is he? Is he able to stay in position at all times! even when asleep? If not, I would go for a combination seat (ff only seat that harnesses ff and later converts to a highback booster).

I would go with a hbb if he can sit still. IMO, going to the store and having him sit in them and see which one is the most comfortable and the one that is going to give him the most growing room.

My 5 year (6 in May) is on the short to average side and is still harnessed in the Nautalis. He rides harness with room to grow in a harmony defender in DH's truck.

My oldest slept often in the nautalis in hbb mode without issue, so I am not sure what sleeping in the car has to do with it.
wife and mom-- no other special labels. Just trying to do the best I can.
