Question Washable nursing pads

I know this is the diaper board, but I'm sure there's a mama or two here who use cloth nursing pads I'm lucky enough to be one of those gals who leak for the duration of bfing. I've been using the Lansinoh disposable pads, but I'm getting so tired of paying for them! I have a set of Medela washable pads, but I leaked through them right away. So I'm looking for recommendations for *inexpensive*, not-too-bulky waterproof pads, maybe there are some that have PUL in them? Any thoughts on lilypads (is that what they're called? TIA

Re: Washable nursing pads

Hmmm - maybe try wool? Quite a few wahms make 'em, but you could easily go find a sweater or two at Goodwill, felt 'em and sew up some circles and lanolize. That way you're using something breathable that shouldn't leak as readily.

I had those Lilypadz things, and I didn't use them too often, so I don't have much of a memory of them - I wasn't much of a leaker... They worked fine for me (or, I don't remember them NOT working...)

I never hear much about them but I use Mommy's Touch exclusively. They are PUL, microfiber, microfleece. I tried the wool and it was not enough for my overactive let down in the beginning.

I have a set by Amaz Pads on hyenacart. I'm not a heavy leaker at all, so I couldn't speak to that, but they are super soft, not too bulky, and lined with fleece. http://www.amazpadz.com/
Also, you could look on diaperpin.com under nursing pads. There are some good reviews there too.

Also, I just saw that homemade mama on hyenacart is stocking what they call "super soaker" nursing pads this week. might be worth checking out!

Re: Washable nursing pads

Check these out. Hemp/cotton with PUL for waterproofing.

Re: Washable nursing pads

I have the joy of leaking the whole time I am nursing too! And my let down is like Niagra Falls!! I tried the wool nursing pads and it wasn't enough. I just ordred some from a sweet wahm here and I am waiting for them. Her DS name is chloecat. If you put "nursing pads" in the search on wahm wares it will pop up. She can make them anyway you like and it is a great price. I can't wait to get mine.

Here is her website: http://www.megaroosdesigns.com
