Re: How much spitting up is ok?

Any amount is okay, as long as it's spit-up and not projectile vomit (spills or dribbles out instead of being "shot" out). Just make sure weight gain is on the bell-curve and that you're seeing 6+ wet dipes per day.

Dd1 always did horribly on any Enfamil formulas and much better with the Similac version. As far as spitting up goes, if it's not projectile and he's happy, there's not much to worry about and nothing a doc could do anyway, as the reflux meds lower the acid so spitting up doesn't hurt, but they don't stop the spitting itself.

My 6 month old spits up TONS! Anywhere fomr 20-50 times a day. If the baby doesn't seem to be in pain and is gaining weight they are ok. My daughter is in pain so she takes Zantac. Oh, and WIC generally won't tell you, but you can get different formula. Here is OK they won't take just a regular script for it. You have to get it filled out on their special form. PITA, but worth not being covered constantly!
