Did you talk your hubby into using cd's?

Ok, I just throwing this out there. I was just interested in how many people talked their hubby into using cloth diapers to SAVE money THEN got addicted and probably haven't saved as much as you thought because you consistently buy and sell. I know I'm that way I don't know if I've saved a penny but I'm sure having a great time

Nah I just told DH I was gonna start using Cloth diapers and he said good for you. I find out now he didn't think i would last at it guess I showed him. NOW if I could quit BUYING diapers I'd be in pretty good shape

Yep, that was my excuse and the only reason he agreed. I have saved lots of money though. So far I have cloth diapered for little to nothing. We started at 13 months and my daughter is 21 months now.

It didn't take much convincing... I just said one day, "hey, I think I want to try CDing. I'm going to order a few and see how we like it." And he just kind of said, "alright, sounds cool". So I started buying some and when he found out he was like "hey I don't get to help pick them out???".

Saving money was a nice side-effect, but we started b/c of the chemicals in disposables. I read DH some of my research and he'd never put any of his children in sposies after reading some of the stuff we have. It's scary.

Re: Did you talk your hubby into using cd's?

I told him I was ordering some to try out, and he didn't really seem to care as long as I was the one washing them. After they came and we both realized how easy it was we stuck with it and gave all the disposables away to my cousin. I've completely revamped my stash since then but I know I have still managed to save money, not to mention landfills lol.

Re: Did you talk your hubby into using cd's?

I told him I wanted to try and he said "If it makes you happy...." which seems to be what he says to shut me up if he doesn't care. **sigh**

He'll admit now, he's glad I switched-- we were spending $50-75 a week on sposies for our two kids, most of our diapers have come from my eBay sales or things I sold on the FSOT board here -- virtually nothing came from our checking which made him happy. Our son's diaper rash which woudln't go away disappeared immediately.... our daughter hasn't had a single rash--

However he also never thought I'd stick with it for mroe than a week.
