What diaper has held up the best for you?

I know there are some mamas here who have been cloth diapering for years. The diapers I am using are just not holding up the way I hoped and expected at all. I am looking into a new diapering system but I am so broke I will only be able to spend what I can get by selling of diapers i have right now. So what is the most durable diaper you own?
I am looking for something simple, I prefer AIOs or Pockets(I prefer pockets so it doesnt take forever to dry them). They also need to be durable, trim and leak proof cuteness is a bonus but they can be the ugliest diapers in the world as long as they are easy, trim and dont leak.
But I am curious about all types of diapers, what has held up the best? What was your best diaper investment?

I love my MotherEase Sandys. They are fitted and do require a cover but man are they durrable. I've tried lots of different diapers and I have yet to sell any of my Sandy's because I love them that much. I'm already stocking up on Sandy's XS and S for my next baby that I'm not even pregnant w/yet. It seems no matter how many different dipers I try these are allways the best. I have wased them a ton and acutally bought them used and they look brand new. Super Super durable.

Believe it or not but the diapers that hold up best for me are prefolds! I know you probably don't want to go that route but that is the case for us. I have a lot of different types of diapers and I agree, they don't hold up like I thought and hoped they would. But I never get holes, buildup, worn elastic (well maybe because they don't have elastic) with my prefolds.

Fuzzi Bunz...I just told DH that we have one that I bought 4 years ago and started using when DS1 was 4 months old (so I've been using it for 3yrs3months) and it is still in rotation! ETA: I think we used a sz large as a night diaper back then and we use it now as a day or night on both boys.

I must have had bad luck with FB's. They are my least durable pocket. My SNAP-EZ are amazing. They show no signs of wear. The fleece fabric is all Malden Mills and just is much higher quality than my other pockets. The sewing and snaps seem more durable too, especially the windpro. They look new and they get some serious loving at our house!

prefolds are great for us. we can always get a nice snug fit, they wash and rinse clean, and dry fast. plus they're cheap and made cute easily!!! we love meaf covers and covers made by bluemoon with them!
as far as ai2's go i love my qleros, and as far as ai2's go they're cheap!
pockets i haven't used much....had a couple i used a few times that held in nicely, babyblanket pocket, a wahm one, and i used a FF for one change...we found out ds has a fleece issue though lol.

Thanks ladies! I am actually seriously considering prefolds with bummis covers.

Prefolds for us too. I actually trifold mine in either Wiggle Worm Bottom or Bummis SWW covers. Since I trifold them when they come out of the wash and stack them, it is just like putting on an AI2. I really don't find much difference between them and AIO diapers. At change time, I open cover, change inside, close cover up again, easy peasy.

Good luck!
