M/W Appt Yesterday

Well, I had an appt. with a midwife yesterday afternoon, and a tour of the birthing center. UNFORTUNATELY, or fortunately however you look at it I found an OB that will take my HMO coincidentally he is my MILs OB and the same man that delivered my husband almost 25 years ago. So, thats kinda cool. So, I wont be going back to the MW since going with an OB is much cheaper out of pocket esp. with an HMO

ANYWAY, she didnt do much. Ordered blood work. I should have that back today or tomorrow. And, she didnt do an ultrasound (I did ask for one, and she does have a machine) but she said it would probably be worthless right now since its only been about a week since my last one and if Im only around 5 weeks it wont tell us much at this point.

So, I dont have much of an update. My fever for the most part is gone, a few times this weekend it reared its ugly head and stuck around for 2-4 hours and then went away. I'm feeling pretty sick though. Havent puked yet, and I keep holding it back. DH says "just puke already" and I cant because once you puke it like opens up the flood gates and then you cant stop puking. So, I'll wait as long as possible.

So, there ya go...I'll update when the blood work comes back

I'm not the only one!!! LOL! Well, sort of. One of the doctors in the practice I see delivered my DH! He doesn't do OB anymore, though... the insurance is too high in CT for all of the gyns in the group to do OB as well.
