On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
fitted diapers but haven't tried one yet because we love pockets. We have a couple of AIO's but don't use them even half as much as pockets.... so the question is, should I try one? Or, should I leave well enough alone and invest in my inserts?
Thank you! I'm so confused.

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
If you try fitteds, you'll also need to invest in some kind of cover
![]() I love fitteds with covers and/or woll and have never been a fan of pockets. I think it's just what works best for your baby!!

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
Are you just using your fleece over pockets? You DO have cute fleece pants! I want them for me!
![]() What size fitteds would you need? Maybe if it's just to try, you could buy something cheap so you're not out a lot of money if you decide you don't like it. I LOVE fitteds with longies-it's easy, no extra steps

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
Here's another perspective - your SO. My dh asked me to make it simple - pockets or AIOs. Since he changes her often, I sold all of my fitteds, covers, wool. Good luck!

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
That's a tough one! I totally didn't understand fitteds for the longest time...all these cute prints that get covered up anyways with a cover...WHY? I'm still not sure I get it, but there is something about fitteds and wool...maybe the idea that there's no 'plastic' or PUL or whatever...maybe that it's breathable...maybe I just need another excuse to buy dipes. But, we currently have several very cute, snuggly fitteds (Mutts and SB OVs) and longies/shorties and I enjoy them very very much! Nice for naps too. I guess I get enough enjoyment from them just looking at them in the basket, and knowing they're on DSs bum. It's a sick addiction, this CD stuff!
Just be warned...if you try them you might like them and then you'll 'have' to buy more!

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
OMG! try a fitted.....I was on the fence to, but a freind recently sent me a huge pile of fluff her son grew out of FFS.....and in it was 3 fitteds she had made......IM IN LOVE!
as for the DH factor, dh prefers the fitteds and a cover. To him its similar to putting a sposie on and the extra step of the cover doesnt bother him.

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
you could go for a happy medium....lol fitted pockets LOL. i say there's so much on the fsot all the time you'd surely be able to find something cheap to try out first. personally i love fitteds and pf w/covers. it works for us.

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
I'm the opposite - I use fitteds and once in a while I'm tempted to try pockets. But then I read "diaper chatter" and every single laundry question is about pockets. Stink issues, repelling, what-have-you....always about pockets. Sounds like too much work to me.

Re: On the fence..... I keep seeing cute
I agree with Lisa, fitteds are super simple to care for! The only thing is that some of them, depending on what type you buy, can take longer to dry than pockets. DH uses pockets on DS, I put DS in fitteds/wool. This winter I've got some longies and I'm getting some fleece pants and we're going to brave fitteds. If DH will cooperate! LOL!
